ZIPAIR ran a Summer Sale from 8 July 2026 to 23:59 on 14 July. One-way fares out of Narita started at JPY 6,500 to Incheon, JPY 15,500 to Bangkok and JPY 22,750 to Honolulu. No fuel surcharge applies, taxes are charged separately, and the travel period was set region by region, running longest on the North American routes at 15 November.

Narita to Incheon at JPY 6,500 and Honolulu at JPY 22,750: no surcharge, but the tax still lands

The lowest one-way fares ran: Incheon JPY 6,500, Singapore JPY 11,500, Bangkok JPY 15,500, Honolulu JPY 22,750, Vancouver JPY 28,950, Los Angeles JPY 29,250, San Francisco JPY 32,500, Orlando JPY 45,000. The longer the sector, the deeper the cut, and Narita to Orlando at JPY 45,000 is a price that simply does not appear on a full-service carrier flying it without a connection.

ZIPAIR’s structural advantage is that it charges no fuel surcharge. Taxes are another matter: any international ticket issued in Japan from 1 July 2026 carries JPY 3,000 of international tourist tax, up from JPY 1,000 until the end of June. Against a JPY 6,500 fare to Incheon that is close to half again, so the shorter the sector, the more the tax dominates what you actually hand over.

There are two seat products, the lie-flat ZIP Full-Flat and Standard. Standard includes two cabin bags totalling 7 kg, the first within 40 × 25 × 55 cm and the second within 35 × 25 × 45 cm. Checked baggage is paid from the first piece, so a cheap fare does not stay cheap once anything goes in the hold. Against that, inflight Wi-Fi is free, which is rare on an LCC and matters on a North American sector running past ten hours.

Who it’s forPeople who can do a long-haul return on 7 kg of cabin baggage. It does not suit anyone checking a bag, or anyone who wants to lie down to sleep: hold baggage and ZIP Full-Flat are both priced separately, and adding them narrows the gap to a full-service ticket.
Already booked?Travel periods differ by region, with North America running to 15 November 2026. Taxes sit outside the fare and include the JPY 3,000 international tourist tax. Extra baggage can be bought after booking, but buying it at the airport costs more than adding it in advance.
Compared with past salesOn Japan–Korea routes the same month, Jeju Air was selling from JPY 12,930 — but that is an all-in total, whereas ZIPAIR’s JPY 6,500 is fare only, so the taxes have to go back on before the two mean anything side by side. Taiwan and Southeast Asia had China Airlines at 20% off and StarFlyer’s JPY 5,000 Kitakyushu–Taipei, and domestically Peach was in the JPY 4,000 band. On a long sector the room at the far end decides more than any of it: what a night costs in Honolulu or Bangkok outweighs the fare within a few days.
