Peach Aviation sold an international sale from 12:00 on 13 August 2026 to 23:59 on 16 August. The cheapest were the Seoul routes out of Kansai and Chubu at JPY 5,000 one way, with Taipei from Naha and Narita starting at JPY 9,000. Domestic routes were excluded and travel began on 30 August, which puts Obon and the peak of the summer holiday outside it entirely.

Reading the one-way column alone will cost you. A fare set on the Japan-bound leg does not mean a fare set on the way home.

Four routes — Narita to Taipei, Haneda to Taipei, Chubu to Taipei and Kansai to Singapore — carry a sale fare outbound and the ordinary fare home. Kansai to Taipei costs JPY 12,000 one way and still builds a return; Narita is cheaper at JPY 9,000 and does not. Cheaper on the one-way line is not cheaper on the trip. The return column also inverts: Hong Kong lands at JPY 20,000, below Taipei’s JPY 24,000 out of the same airport, so fixing the destination before reading the row makes the choice worse rather than easier.

When you can start flying moves by more than two months across the twelve. From 30 August: Kansai to Seoul, Bangkok and Singapore, and Naha to Taipei. From 25 October: the second Seoul window out of Kansai, Chubu to Seoul, and Kansai to Hong Kong. From 27 October: Kansai to Taipei and Kaohsiung. From 3 November: Haneda and Chubu to Taipei. From 4 November: Narita to Taipei. Which means no Taipei flight from the main islands qualifies before 27 October at all. The blackout dates are just as uneven. Naha to Taipei carries the most at 32 days — 19 to 29 September, 8 to 11 October, 22 to 27 October and 24 December to 3 January — despite having the longest travel window of any route. Then Kansai to Kaohsiung at 22 days, Kansai to Taipei at 21, the second Seoul window and Kansai to Hong Kong at 10 each, Kansai to Singapore at 5, Haneda to Taipei at 3, and zero for Narita to Taipei, Kansai to Bangkok and the first Seoul window. Even neighbouring routes differ: Kansai to Taipei starts excluding dates on 30 October and Kaohsiung on 29 October, one day apart, so they cannot be memorised together. Late December to 3 January is out on nearly everything, and Chubu to Taipei is limited to Monday through Friday. Reading fares against what they exclude is set out separately.

Who it’s forTravellers going to Seoul from Kansai. JPY 10,000 return, and the first window from 30 August to 24 October carries not a single blackout date, so the September long weekend is inside it as far as the terms go. It is useless for Obon or any date in August: travel starts on the 30th on every route. It also suits light packers only — checked baggage and seat selection are charged separately, so whether you can stay inside a 7 kg cabin allowance changes the total more than the fare difference between two routes does.
Already booked?A SALE mark on the fare is what identifies an eligible booking. Where several sales or campaigns apply at once, the cheapest single fare and its conditions are applied automatically, so nothing stacks. Booking through the contact centre or an airport counter attracts a separate booking fee. The airline also states that the sale differs between the Japanese site and the other language sites, which is worth knowing before comparing screenshots with someone else.
Compared with past salesJuly’s Tanabata sale covered domestic and international routes together and started at JPY 4,000 one way. This round narrows to international only and pushes the travel window from autumn into winter. Same airline, same year, different construction — judging this one by the feel of the last one gets it wrong.

More: where you start changes the answer, and Tokyo cannot reach Seoul on this sale

Of the 24 fare rows the airline set for this round, eight carry the JPY 5,000 figure: two each for Incheon and Gimpo out of Kansai, one for Gimpo out of Chubu, and the three return legs that go with them. Neither Narita nor Haneda has a Seoul route in the sale at all. What Tokyo gets is Taipei, twice — JPY 9,000 from Narita and JPY 12,000 from Haneda — and both are outbound only. Travelling to Kansai or Chubu to pick up the cheap seat is an idea until you add the domestic fare, at which point JPY 5,000 stops being an advantage. For Korea out of Tokyo the realistic alternative in those same weeks was T’way Air’s regional Korea coupon, which covered Busan and Daegu from Tokyo.

Living in Kansai changes the reading completely: JPY 5,000 there is simply a strong number, and the first window has no excluded dates, so the Silver Week holiday sits inside the terms. The seat count is the catch. What the airline guarantees is one seat per flight at the sale fare as of the day before selling opens — nothing about what survives to a long weekend. Once the flight is held, the room is the half of the total that moves next, and what a night in Seoul costs over a holiday weekend is the figure that decides whether the JPY 10,000 return was the bargain it looked like.
