T’way Air is taking up to 7% off the fare on international routes that leave Japan and connect through Korea, across 20 cities from Paris to Sydney. The code applies itself at booking. Selling runs to 31 October 2026 and travel to 27 March 2027.

The 7% is a ceiling with no floor published, and the connection costs more than the discount saves on short routes

Only the ceiling is public. No amounts are given by route or fare class, and no conditions are stated for reaching 7%, so the reduction is not a number until the payment screen shows it. On a JPY 80,000 fare 7% is JPY 5,600; on JPY 40,000 it is JPY 2,800. That is the whole of what can be said in advance. The destinations divide like this.

RegionCities
Southeast Asia (6)Bangkok, Singapore, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Boracay
Europe (5)Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Zagreb
East Asia (4)Taipei, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Hong Kong
Central Asia (2)Ulaanbaatar, Bishkek
Oceania (2)Sydney, Guam
North America (1)Vancouver

What the list has in common is the absence of direct service from Japan. Zagreb, Bishkek and Ulaanbaatar cannot be reached without connecting somewhere in any case, which is where an offer built around a connection starts to make sense.

The binding conditions are about the airport, not the price. Minimum connection times are 90 minutes at Incheon, 115 at Daegu, 120 at Jeju and 150 at Cheongju, and the 60-minute spread between Incheon and Cheongju is not idle waiting — it is a different number of procedures. Connect at Incheon or Daegu and checked baggage runs through to the final destination. Route through Busan or Cheongju and you enter Korea, collect the bags, then check in and clear departure formalities a second time; Cheongju’s 150 minutes is what that repeat work takes. If you want the bags back at Incheon, say so when you check in for the flight out of Japan, because it cannot be arranged on arrival.

Web check-in is unavailable on connecting itineraries, so airport arrival times have to be set on the assumption of a counter queue. Extra checked baggage cannot be bought in advance either — the request goes in at the counter on the day, at day-of prices, and that gap alone can swallow the 7%. Because the discount is a percentage, the absolute saving grows with the fare: it is one order of magnitude on a Taipei return and another on a Paris return, while the connection time is a fixed cost that does not change with the destination. The return per unit of hassle is therefore largest on the long-haul side — Europe, Central Asia, Oceania — and best of all on the cities where connecting was unavoidable to begin with. Departures from Japan also carry the international tourist tax of JPY 3,000 per person since 1 July 2026, inside the taxes rather than the fare. If the connection is long enough to want a night in Korea, what a room near Incheon costs belongs in the same total. Reading fare-only displays against total-price displays is covered in LCC cheap flight booking techniques.

The airline itself has changed since this campaign opened. A notice dated 10 September 2026 rebranded T’way Air as Trinity Airways, and twayair.com now redirects to trinityairways.com, where the events section is published in Korean.

Who it’s forTravellers heading somewhere with no direct flight from Japan — Europe, Central Asia, Oceania — where the connection was happening regardless and the larger fare makes 7% a real number. It is poor value to Taipei, Hong Kong or Bangkok, where a direct flight exists and you would be adding at least 90 minutes at Incheon, or 115 at Daegu, to collect the discount. It does nothing for a trip to Korea alone: this applies to journeys that pass through Korea and carry on, so a plain Japan–Korea return is better served by something like Jin Air’s Kobe–Seoul code.
Already booked? If your connection is Busan or Cheongju, plan for a second immigration queue and a baggage collection in the middle of the journey, and allow 30 to 60 minutes more than Incheon would need. Web check-in will not work, and extra baggage cannot be added before the day. If you intend to collect your bags at Incheon, that request has to be made at check-in in Japan.
Compared with past salesPublished discounts on Korean routes usually quote a figure you can act on; this one publishes only its ceiling, which makes it hard to use for anyone who wants the saving fixed before committing. Korean carriers also bunch their offers into the same weeks, so how often each one runs a round is worth checking in Sale Coverage by Airline.
