IBEX Airlines discounted twelve domestic routes from midnight on 17 July 2026 until 23:59 on 23 July, with Sendai to New Chitose from JPY 6,820 one way. Travel ran from 1 August to 24 October, with the ten days of Obon, 7 to 16 August, cut out of the middle.
Sendai to New Chitose at JPY 6,820, with only the Obon fortnight excluded
Sale fares per one-way journey. The passenger facility charge at each airport is extra, and the fare is not set on every flight.
IBEX’s network does not pass through Tokyo. It links regional cities directly out of Sendai, Chubu and Itami, which is how this round came to offer Sendai to Hiroshima at JPY 9,790 and Fukuoka to Niigata at JPY 11,220 — journeys that turn into half a day of work when you route them through Haneda. Against the shinkansen the saving shows up in hours rather than in yen.
The lever worth pulling is the day of the week. Monday, Friday and the weekend carry business and leisure demand at the same time, so the sale allocation on those days is thin and goes within hours of the opening. Departures on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday hold. The same pattern runs through the timetable: the first flight of the morning and the evening return fill first, while late morning to mid-afternoon still had seats at the sale fare.
Payment has a trap in it. Settle by 23:59 on the day you make the booking or the booking cancels itself. Hold a seat just after midnight, intend to pay when you wake up, and it is gone. Bookings cannot be changed afterwards and refunds carry a set fee, so this is not a fare to grab while the dates are still moving.

How far the floor moves when you change your starting airport
Within one sale the floor shifts by almost JPY 2,000 depending on where you begin. Out of Sendai the cheapest seat was New Chitose at JPY 6,820, then Chubu at 8,470, Itami at 8,800, Hiroshima at 9,790 and Fukuoka at 11,880 — the order you would guess from a map. Out of Chubu it opened at Oita, JPY 7,920, followed by Matsuyama at 8,140 and Fukuoka at 8,800. Out of Itami the floor was Fukuoka at JPY 7,480, with Niigata at 7,810 and Fukushima at 8,250 behind it.
What the table does not show is a fare that changes with direction. Sendai to Chubu is JPY 8,470 whichever end you start from, and Sendai to Itami is JPY 8,800 both ways, because the fare is set per route and not per departure airport. Hunting for a cheaper return leg is wasted effort here. Of the three bases only Itami reached down to JPY 7,480, which made this round the easiest one for anyone in Kansai with Kyushu in mind.
