Spring Japan ran a Spring Fair from 1 to 21 July 2026, selling Narita to Hakodate from JPY 4,880 one way and Nagoya (Chubu) to Sapporo (New Chitose) from JPY 5,780. Two routes, and nothing else. It sat inside a three-part campaign that also carried a JPY 750 baggage coupon and a prize draw run through posts on X.
Narita to Hakodate was JPY 4,880, but JPY 5,700 left your account
Airport passenger service charges are not inside that JPY 4,880. Narita takes JPY 390 and Hakodate JPY 430 from an adult, so the one-way total was JPY 5,700. On the other route the charges are JPY 440 and JPY 370, which turns JPY 5,780 into JPY 6,590. The New Chitose charge goes to JPY 530 for tickets issued from 25 October 2026, so the same fare costs JPY 160 more after that date.
The fare on offer was Lucky Spring, the cheapest of the airline’s three fare types. It includes 7 kg of cabin baggage and nothing else: checked bags and seat selection are paid extras, while changes and refunds are allowed once you pay the fee. The JPY 750 coupon is what fills that hole, covering about 5 kg on the two routes for travel between 1 September and 12 October. It is members-only, and it only goes through on bookings made on the Japanese-language official site — a detail worth knowing before you plan around it from outside Japan.
The weakness is how little the sale covered. Narita to Hakodate only opened in April 2026, so neither the frequency nor the departure airport gives you room to move, and wanting Sapporo is irrelevant unless you can start from Chubu. The prize draw was two people per route, which is not something to plan a trip around. The same month put Jetstar at JPY 3,820 one way and Toki Air at JPY 7,000 on weekdays on the table, so on price alone this was level with the cheap band for Hokkaido rather than below it.
