Jin Air ran its monthly “Monthly MY Deal” sale on the Korean routes out of Japan from 10:00 on 2 July 2026 to 23:59 on 12 July, for travel between 2 July and 24 October. Busan routes came down by up to 15% and Seoul and the rest by up to 10%, but only for bookings that carried the promotion code MJIN2607.
Without the code MJIN2607 nothing is discounted: 15% to Busan, 10% to Seoul
This was not a sale that pushed the fare table down. The published fares stayed where they were and the code took a percentage off at search time, which makes the order of operations decisive. You open Jin Air’s own site or its mobile app, pick the route, date and passenger count, type MJIN2607 into the promotion code field, and only then search. The discounted fares come back labelled Promotion or Smart. Search without the code and the ordinary fares appear, and there is no way to attach the discount afterwards to a booking already made.
What comes off is the fare alone. The fuel surcharge, the airport facility charges and the taxes sit outside it, and from 1 July 2026 the international tourist tax rose to JPY 3,000 a head, so a July departure carries that much more than the same itinerary in June. Set against it is something unusual for a low-cost carrier: Jin Air’s regular fare plans, Smart among them, include 15 kg of checked baggage. If you are travelling with a suitcase, that one line changes the comparison with the other Korean LCCs before any discount is applied.
Sale inventory is capped, and the round ends for a given flight the moment those seats go. Departures on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday hold their lowest fares longer than weekend ones, and since the discount is a percentage, the same 15% takes more off a cheaper base. Obon and the other peak blocks are either excluded outright or carry no sale seats to begin with. For anyone who missed the dates they wanted, Jin Air had already flagged the next round: JIN MARKET, the twice-yearly sale, from 10:00 on 13 July to 23:59 on 16 July, split into last-minute discounts and early-bird specials.
Three other rounds overlapped this one in July: Peach’s Tanabata sale, which closed on the same day, ZIPAIR’s international summer discount, and T’way Air’s t’wari code, where the mechanics of a Korean-route discount code are set out in more detail. Hotel rates in Seoul and Busan move with the same summer calendar, so it is worth holding the nights on Klook while the flight is still cheap.
