Toki Air sold its Summer Thank You (999) Sale from 12:00 on 17 July 2026 to 23:59 on 28 August, for travel in August only. All four of its routes were included, from JPY 999 one way, inside a band that topped out at JPY 7,000 on weekdays and JPY 9,000 at weekends.

All four routes from JPY 999, but only for the month of August

Route (days operated)Weekday / weekend and holiday (one way, tax included)
Nagoya (Chubu) ⇔ Sapporo (Okadama)JPY 999–7,000 / JPY 999–9,000
Niigata ⇔ Sapporo (Okadama) (Tue, Wed, Thu)JPY 999–7,000 / JPY 999–9,000
Niigata ⇔ Nagoya (Chubu) (Tue, Wed, Thu)JPY 999–7,000 / JPY 999–9,000
Niigata ⇔ Kobe (Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon)JPY 999–7,000 / JPY 999–9,000

One way, tax included. The payment handling fee and each airport’s passenger service facility charge are extra. Seat numbers are limited and the fare is not set on every flight.

Since all four routes share the same band, the thing to compare is not price but the days each one flies. Niigata to Okadama and Niigata to Nagoya run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; Niigata to Kobe on Fridays through Mondays. Everything except Chubu to Okadama therefore operates about half the week, and checking whether your dates fall on an operating day settles the question faster than hunting for a JPY 999 seat.

A band seven times wide at the bottom and the top is not one fare, and the ceiling is worth reading before the floor. Niigata to Nagoya starts at JPY 7,700 on Toki Air’s ordinary Tokitoku fare, so a weekend seat sold at the top of this sale, JPY 9,000, is above what the route costs without a sale at all. The JPY 999 seats went early; what remained through most of the six weeks sat in the middle thousands.

Travel was confined to August while selling ran for six weeks, which shortens the offer as it goes: buy in the last days of August and the only dates left are the ones nobody wanted. Booking was on Toki Air’s own site only. On top of the fare come the payment handling fee and the passenger service facility charge, so even a JPY 999 ticket settles a little higher, and changes of date or time and refunds on cancellation were either impossible or carried a heavy fee.

Who it’s forAnyone with business in Niigata, Nagoya, Sapporo or Kobe who could move a weekday in August. Okadama sits inside Sapporo city, which removes the time and the fare of getting in from New Chitose. It suits nobody whose dates might shift: neither a change nor a refund was available on these tickets.
Already booked?Travel had to fall by 31 August, and because each route flies on fixed days, building a return out of two different routes can land you on a day with no flight home. Landing at Okadama, a room near Odori or Susukino keeps the transfer short. Note that Chubu to Okadama was suspended on 1 September 2026 over low load factors, so that route no longer exists to rebook.
Compared with past salesToki Air had run a Summer Sale at JPY 7,000 on weekdays earlier the same month, so JPY 999 was far below its own recent floor. By autumn the airline was back at JPY 5,500 one way across every route. Elsewhere that month, Jetstar sat at JPY 3,820 on trunk routes.
