Jeju Air sold a Kyushu-to-Korea promotion out of three airports — Oita, Kagoshima and Fukuoka. Selling ran from 19 to 25 August 2026, with travel to 30 November. The headline was JPY 100 one way from Fukuoka to Seoul (Incheon) and Busan, and a discount code worth up to 20 per cent went out alongside it.

The JPY 100 fare from Fukuoka is the most expensive of the three once tax is in

Three fares were published, and the order changes depending on which column you read.

RouteFare portionOne-way totalFare type
Kagoshima – Seoul (Incheon)JPY 1,500JPY 13,730STANDARD, 15 kg checked
Oita – Seoul (Incheon)JPY 2,300JPY 14,530STANDARD, 15 kg checked
Fukuoka – Seoul (Incheon) / BusanJPY 100JPY 14,630BASIC, no checked bag

Totals include airport taxes and the fuel component. Checked on 2026-08-19.

Cutting the fare portion to JPY 100 does nothing to the taxes and the fuel component sitting behind it, which is why the eye-catching departure point ends up dearest. Kagoshima is the cheapest and the spread across the three airports is JPY 900. The fare types are not level either: Oita and Kagoshima are quoted as STANDARD with 15 kg of checked baggage, while Fukuoka is BASIC with none, so a checked bag from Fukuoka goes on top of the JPY 14,630. Choose by the one-way fare column and the ranking reverses as soon as the conditions are matched. Reading a fare display against what it leaves out is set out separately.

The code was KYUSHUTOKR. It applies to STANDARD fares, requires a logged-in Jeju Air member, and works only on bookings whose first sector departs Japan. It also has ceilings, tested per one-way leg: JPY 14,100 or less for Oita and Kagoshima to Incheon, JPY 11,900 or less for Fukuoka to Incheon, JPY 11,400 or less for Fukuoka to Busan. The airline’s own worked example says that an outbound at JPY 7,300 with a return at JPY 30,500 takes the discount on the outbound only, and that JPY 30,500 both ways takes it on neither. A cheap outbound with an expensive return therefore gets half a discount. The code could be used between 19 and 25 August for departures between 19 August and 30 November, and it stacks with the 5 per cent first-booking discount for new members in the app — the new-member discount first, the code on top of what is left.

Who it’s forPeople living in Kyushu with Seoul or Busan on the autumn calendar. Travel ran to 30 November, so the October holidays sit inside it. The straightforward picks are Kagoshima, cheapest on the total, or Oita, where the baggage is already in the fare. It is no use at all from the Kanto or Kansai regions — the promotion covers Kyushu departures and nothing else.
Already booked?Anyone who booked a return between Oita and Korea during the period was eligible for a draw: an Olive Young gift card worth KRW 20,000 for five winners. Booking alone did not enter you. Pressing the entry button on the event page was the condition, winners were contacted by 31 August, and it was limited to Jeju Air members holding Japanese nationality.
Compared with past salesThe code works on a one-way or a return, but the discounted fares themselves go first come, first served and the airline states plainly that they end when they are gone. Nothing guarantees seats survive to the closing date. What the previous round contained is in the SUPER SALE piece.

More: level the totals and the three Kyushu airports sit within JPY 900 of each other

Kagoshima JPY 13,730, Oita JPY 14,530, Fukuoka JPY 14,630. Sorted by what you actually pay, the three airports fall inside a JPY 900 band, even though the fare portions read JPY 100, JPY 1,500 and JPY 2,300. The taxes and the fuel component absorb the difference. Treating the payment as effectively the same wherever in Kyushu you leave from makes the decision faster, because the real variable is elsewhere.

That variable is baggage. Fukuoka alone is BASIC, so a checked bag reorders the three at once. Add the cost of reaching the airport and the answer comes down to where you live rather than which fare looked lowest. At the far end, the three-day Seoul itinerary has the ground costs and eSIM against pocket Wi-Fi covers getting online. Room rates move over the autumn holidays, so what a night in Seoul costs then belongs in the same total as the JPY 900.
