The official page carried the fares as an image, so the figures come from LCCjp’s listing dated 3 August 2026. The count of sectors comes from the origin and destination codes in the official booking links.

The condition that matters most is what the code reaches. T’way Air’s own notes say the code works only on itineraries departing Japan, that some periods and fare types are excluded, that coupons cannot be combined with event fares, and — the one to read twice — that the discount applies to the airfare after the fuel surcharge and airport facility charges are taken out. The JPY 15,183 in the table is quoted as a total with the surcharge and taxes inside it, while the reduction lands only on the part left when those are removed. Against the total, the effective rate is smaller than the code implies, and rarely more than 10%. On any international departure from Japan there is also the international tourist tax, raised to JPY 3,000 on tickets issued from 1 July 2026.

The official booking links and the secondary route list also disagree by one sector. LCCjp lists Kansai to Cheongju among the covered routes; the official page has no Kansai–Cheongju booking link, and carries the Kansai–Jeju link three times over instead. For Cheongju out of Kansai the reliable move was to enter the code, run an availability search and watch whether the fare actually moved.

The spread is what makes Kyushu the story. Saga to Seoul at JPY 15,183 against New Chitose to Seoul at JPY 29,250 is a factor of 1.93. On the same Seoul route, Naha is JPY 22,080 — JPY 6,897 above Saga. From Kyushu the return trip lands in the low JPY 30,000s. And the travel window is 239 days, from 1 August 2026 to 27 March 2027, which takes in the new year and the spring holidays. This was not a sale to fly on now; it was a sale to fix a date months out.

Three other campaigns ran alongside it on the same event page: the summer holiday Guam support campaign, up to USD 60 per person, from 8 June to 31 August; “From Japan, to a wider world of travel”, up to 7% off connecting routes, from 15 July to 31 October; and a members-only 20% discount on Big Bus city tours, 1 August to 31 December. For Guam that mattered, because the JPY 36,016 fare and the Guam campaign both closed on 31 August; for anyone connecting beyond Seoul, the 7% offer ran two months longer.

Who it’s forTravellers heading to Korea from Kyushu or western Japan, and anyone wanting the new year or the spring holidays settled early — Saga, Fukuoka and Kumamoto to Seoul all sit between JPY 15,000 and JPY 21,000. It is the wrong sale for anyone expecting a large cut off the price they actually pay: the code only reaches the fare once the fuel surcharge and the facility charges are removed, so the total rarely falls by more than 10%.
Already booked? The code works on the official site, mobile web and the official app, and nowhere else. The airline states that numbers are limited, that the sale may close early, and that particular dates on particular routes carry no discount at all, so waiting until 31 August guaranteed nothing. Checked baggage and seat selection are charged separately, as with any low-cost carrier. Rooms in Seoul and Busan are worth pricing for the same nights before the dates are locked.
Compared with past salesThe airline ran a September t’sale under the same name a month later, and that one was a coupon worth up to JPY 3,000 rather than a code applied to the fare. The t’sale changes shape month to month, so the question each time is not how big the number is but what the discount attaches to. For the same reading applied elsewhere on the Korea routes, see Eastar Jet’s SUPER STAR FESTA and JIN AIR’s twice-yearly sale.

More: the Korea sales of the same week ran for 48 hours, against this one’s 31 days

Early August 2026 had several Korea sales out of Japan at once. The t’sale sold for 31 days, 1 to 31 August. Jeju Air’s September–October special fares opened at 10:00 on 3 August and closed at 09:59 on 5 August — 48 hours. Eastar Jet’s late-summer sale also opened at 10:00 on 3 August, with no closing date published. Thirty-one days against two is a gap of more than fifteen times.

Comparing the face values across them means nothing, though, because the figures are built differently. The t’sale quotes a total with the fuel surcharge and taxes inside; Jeju Air and Eastar Jet quote fares with both still to be added. “JPY 100 one way” from one and “JPY 15,183 one way” from another are not measured on the same ruler. The only way to line them up is to run each booking through to the final payable total. That is also why the two-day sales are usually over by the time anyone notices them, and why this one could be weighed at leisure — the booking techniques for cheap flights cover how to read the difference.
