Eastar Jet ran SUPER STAR FESTA, the biggest discount event on its calendar, from 10:00 on 13 July 2026 to 23:59 on 19 July. The lowest one-way fares were JPY 100 to Busan and JPY 300 to Seoul, both before the fuel surcharge and airport taxes, for travel between 25 October 2026 and 27 March 2027.

Eastar Jet defines what is being cut precisely: the lowest one-way air fare excluding the fuel surcharge and airport taxes, discounted by up to 99% against the fare. JPY 100 is a figure in the fare column, not the amount that leaves your account. Korean routes out of Japan carry the Japanese passenger facility charge and the passenger security service charge, and the Korean side adds a departure levy and airport tax of its own. None of that surfaces until the payment screen, so a round-trip budget built on the headline number will be wrong.

The list of eligible routes did not exist when the sale was announced. The press release named Seoul and Busan as destinations and stopped there; which Japanese airports were included would only appear in the fare table published on the official site on 12 July, the day before selling opened. Booking ran through the official site and the official app alone, with no travel agents and no comparison sites. Registering and signing in before the clock starts is the difference between buying a seat and watching it go while you fill in a form.

The real prize in this round was the change conditions rather than the fare. Bookings made during the period waived the fee for changing date and time, and members booking on the Eastar Jet site could move their dates free of charge up to 14 days before departure. Event fares at a low-cost carrier normally charge for a change or refuse one outright. Whether the cheapest fare class carries free checked baggage, on the other hand, depends on the fare rules; the usual carry-on allowance is 10 kg, so anything above that needs the baggage allowance and the excess charge checked before purchase.
