WE Hotel Toya, on the shore of Lake Toya, became WE Hotel Toya – Dusit Collection on 1 July 2026. It is the first property in Japan under the Dusit Collection brand held by Thailand’s Dusit International, and the third of the group’s Japanese properties after ASAI Kyoto Shijo and Dusit Thani Kyoto, part of a wider run of foreign luxury brands arriving in Japan. To mark it, stays with dinner and breakfast are 20% off the standard rate until 30 September.

The 20% applies only to half board, and the rooms released each day are capped

Three conditions govern it. The plan has to include both dinner and breakfast, it has to be sold before 30 September 2026, and only a set number of rooms is released each day. Since the hotel puts them out on its own site in batches, anyone who has already fixed their dates will hit days with nothing eligible on them. Room-only and breakfast-only plans are outside it entirely.

The building is by Kengo Kuma. Of the 58 rooms, 55 are 37-square-metre lake-view rooms and the other three are 186.2-square-metre villas, and every balcony has an open-air hinoki bath. Dining runs across three outlets — EZO Cuisine, La Saison and TARU Bar — and putting Thai technique into Hokkaido ingredients is what the rebrand actually consists of.

The pricing has a quirk worth knowing. On the Japanese booking site Ikyu.com, as of 14 September 2026, a Deluxe Lake View King of 37 square metres was going for JPY 25,168 for two people with breakfast on the rebrand-commemoration plan, while the ordinary breakfast-included plan for the same room started at JPY 31,460. If you intend to eat dinner outside the hotel, the commemoration plan can land below the 20% discount. Comparing what the same nights cost elsewhere around the lake is worth doing before you commit. Coming this far also pairs naturally with three days in Sapporo and Otaru, which stops the travelling from being wasted.

Who it’s forPeople who want dinner handled inside the hotel and can move their dates. Everything turns on whether you can land on a day with eligible rooms released before 30 September, so it does not work if your dates are fixed, and it does not work if you wanted to eat out in the Toyako Onsen town. On days with no eligible rooms there is no discount at all, and room-only and breakfast-only plans never qualify.
Already booked? The discount only attaches to half-board plans sold on the hotel’s own site; a room-only or breakfast-only booking made through an OTA does not get it. It covers stays up to 30 September 2026, and the number of rooms is limited on each date.
Compared with past salesThe same room with breakfast ran between JPY 25,168 and JPY 31,460 for two on 14 September 2026. Getting there moves the total just as much: catching a window like the JPY 4,880 Narita–Hakodate and Chubu–New Chitose sale changes the round trip by tens of thousands of yen.
