Toki Air sold its Summer Sale from 12:00 on 24 June 2026 to 23:59 on 28 July. A weekday seat went for JPY 7,000 one way and a weekend or holiday seat for JPY 9,000, on travel between 3 and 31 July across the three routes linking Niigata, Nagoya (Chubu) and Sapporo (Okadama).

At JPY 9,000, a weekend seat out of Niigata cost more than the ordinary fare’s floor

RouteEligible flights / floor of the ordinary Tokitoku fare
Niigata ⇔ Sapporo (Okadama)Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday services / from JPY 8,800
Niigata ⇔ Nagoya (Chubu)Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday services / from JPY 7,700
Nagoya (Chubu) ⇔ Sapporo (Okadama)All services in the period / from JPY 9,900

Tokitoku is a variable fare that rises as seats sell, with a ceiling of JPY 16,600 to JPY 23,500 depending on the route. Sale fares include consumption tax but not other charges, seat numbers are limited and some flights are excluded.

The day of the week set the price, not the distance. All three routes cost the same on a weekday and JPY 2,000 more at weekends, with no adjustment for sector length. Line that up against the ordinary fare and only Chubu to Okadama is plainly a bargain. Niigata to Nagoya starts at JPY 7,700 on Tokitoku, which leaves the weekday sale fare JPY 700 better. At JPY 9,000, the weekend fare was actually above the ordinary floor on both Niigata routes.

Tokitoku does climb as the cabin fills, though. Its ceiling is JPY 16,600 on Niigata to Nagoya and JPY 23,500 on Chubu to Okadama, and summer prices live nearer that end. The worth of this sale is less that it is cheap than that the number stops moving when everyone else is buying.

Out of Niigata the trap was the operating days. Only Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday services qualified, and through the first half of July the Niigata routes flew Friday to Monday. Tuesday-to-Thursday flights did not start until mid-month, so although the travel period opened on 3 July, a Niigata departure was only usable in the back half of it.

Booking was on the Toki Air site alone, and this fare could not be changed once bought. The passenger service facility charge is JPY 440 for an adult at Chubu and does not exist at Niigata or Okadama, so a Niigata–Okadama total is readable from the fare on its own. Chubu to Okadama has since gone: Toki Air suspended it on 1 September 2026 over weak load factors, and the sector no longer exists. What to do after landing at Okadama is in the two-night Sapporo and Otaru plan.

Who it’s forAnyone leaving Niigata or Chubu for Hokkaido on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. It suits nobody who needs both legs at the weekend: at JPY 9,000 the weekend fare costs more than the ordinary floor out of Niigata.
Already booked?Travel had to finish by 31 July. These routes run one return a day on a 72-seat ATR 72-600, so a cancellation or a long delay leaves nothing to be rebooked onto that day. Keep the return leg loose.
Compared with past salesToki Air went cheaper afterwards: a JPY 999 one-way sale in August, then an autumn campaign from JPY 5,500 on every route in September. JPY 7,000 sits at the expensive end of what this airline sells.
