Onjuku Itsukiri opened on Saturday 25 July 2026 on the shore of Onjuku, Chiba, with ten detached villas. A night with dinner and breakfast starts, per person with two sharing a villa, at JPY 54,400 in the Suite, JPY 57,700 in the Premium Suite and JPY 69,800 in the Presidential Suite. A villa that takes a dog costs JPY 5,500 more in every type. All prices include tax and are the lowest rate; Saturdays and holiday weekends start above it.
The pool comes with the Presidential and the Premium; two of the ten villas have none
Every villa has two floors, a natural hot-spring bath indoors, an open-air bath on the second-floor roof balcony, a private sauna and a cold plunge. What separates the types is the pool, the number of bedrooms and the capacity. The Presidential Suite is 141 m² indoors (93 m² downstairs, 48 m² up) with 65 m² of outdoor space, four bedrooms, room for ten and two saunas. The Premium Suite is 100 m² indoors (65 m² and 35 m²) with the same 65 m² outside, a main bedroom and a second bedroom, and sleeps up to six. The Suite matches the Premium in floor area and capacity, but an outdoor terrace and a private garden stand where the pool would be.
| Room type | Indoors, capacity | Pool | Lowest rate per person (dog-friendly villa) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Presidential Suite | 141 m², up to 10 | Yes | JPY 69,800 (JPY 75,300) |
| Premium Suite | 100 m², up to 6 | Yes | JPY 57,700 (JPY 63,200) |
| Suite | 100 m², up to 6 | No | JPY 54,400 (JPY 59,900) |
Rates are per person for one night with dinner and breakfast (restaurant dining), two people sharing a villa. Eight villas have a pool and five take dogs, and every type includes a dog-friendly villa. Choosing a type with a pool adds JPY 3,300 per person over the Suite for the Premium, and JPY 15,400 for the Presidential.
Four dining plans: barbecue is cheapest at JPY 52,200, the chef’s table starts at JPY 58,800
The booking page lists four standard plans, each with dinner and breakfast. The cooking is by the chef of Kappo Ikkon, a Japanese restaurant in Roppongi, using fish landed at Onjuku fishing port and Boso seasonal produce. The table gives the lowest rate per person for each plan.
| Plan | Where and what | Lowest rate per person |
|---|---|---|
| Satoumi Dining | Full Japanese course at the restaurant counter or a table | JPY 54,400 |
| In-villa dining | The same kind of full course served in the villa | JPY 56,600 |
| Chef’s table | Counter in front of the chef, six seats a day, spiny lobster and abalone among the dishes | JPY 58,800 |
| Private grill barbecue | Boso seafood grilled in the villa’s outdoor space | JPY 52,200 |
The restaurant takes guests of elementary-school age and above, so a party with preschool children eats in the villa. Dogs cannot enter the restaurant either, so a stay with a dog also means in-villa dining. An elementary-school child pays 70% of the adult rate. There are two discounts. Two nights or more take 20% off each night from the first (limited-time, three plans, not the chef’s table): at the Suite’s lowest rate that is JPY 43,520 a night, JPY 87,040 for two nights, against JPY 108,800 for two separate one-night stays, a saving of JPY 21,760 on paper. The other is a 10% opening discount for stays from 1 October to 25 December 2026, on sale until 18:00 on 24 December, with lowest rates of JPY 48,900 for restaurant dining, JPY 50,900 for in-villa dining and JPY 46,900 for the barbecue.
The lowest rate is a weekday rate. For the Presidential Suite with restaurant dining, the October calendar on the booking page shows an approximate JPY 75,300 per person on weekdays, JPY 85,200 on Sunday 18 October and JPY 102,800 on Saturdays 17 and 24 October, so the day of the week moves the price a great deal. Cancellation fees run at 20% of the plan price from ten days before the stay, 40% from six days, 50% from two days, and 100% on the day or for a no-show; a guest who has not arrived or been in touch by 22:00 is treated as a same-day cancellation. Payment is either at the property or in advance by card through a travel arrangement with the agency Time Design.
The hot spring is in the villa bath, and again in the main building’s communal baths
The water is natural hot spring pumped from underground. Each villa has an indoor bath and an open-air bath on the second-floor roof balcony. The main building, omoya, which also holds the restaurant, has gender-separated communal baths with a semi-open-air bath, a sauna and a cold plunge, open from 15:00 to 22:00 (last entry 21:30). Every villa has a private sauna and eight have a private pool. Rooms are non-smoking, with a smoking room on the first floor of omoya. Wi-Fi is free in every room, and the amenities include shampoo, conditioner, body soap, lotion and sakumu loungewear.
About 12 minutes’ walk from JR Onjuku station, about 40 minutes by car from the Ichihara-Tsurumai interchange
By train it is about 12 minutes’ walk from JR Onjuku station, and a shuttle is also available. By car it is about 90 minutes from Tokyo, via the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line and Route 409 to the Ichihara-Tsurumai interchange on the Ken-O Expressway, then about 40 minutes more. Check-in starts at 15:00 and check-out is at 10:00 (11:00 in the Presidential Suite). The front desk runs from 07:00 to 22:00, and a late check-out costs JPY 15,000 per villa per hour, up to 12:00. With the sea at the door, walking Onjuku beach before check-in fits the afternoon easily.
