ANA ran a domestic time sale from midnight on 26 August 2026 to 23:59 on 31 August, on ten main routes. Naha to Ishigaki opened at JPY 5,720 one way, Haneda to Itami at JPY 9,130. The tickets were good for travel between 1 October 2026 and 31 January 2027.

Ten routes, ten identical numbers, and the same line-up as the round sold from 24 to 30 July — nothing swapped in, nothing added. Open this sale hoping July’s prices had slipped and the same table comes back. The flip side is that anyone who let July go got the identical offer a second time, and two rounds at the same figures make it easy to see where ANA has set its domestic floor. Where each carrier sits over a longer run is in Sale Coverage by Airline.

What did move sits at the entrance, not the price.

Both rounds end on 31 January 2027, so the whole 45-day difference is at the front. In July the ticket became usable three weeks after purchase; here the earliest departure is 36 days out, which puts every September date — Silver Week included — outside the sale entirely. Turn that around and the window covers October and November whole, which is the run of weeks the autumn colours move through: New Chitose and Sendai peak within October, so fixing dates against Japan’s 2026 autumn foliage beats guessing. What a room in Sapporo costs in leaf season is the other half of that total.

The condition that actually catches people is the payment clock. Payment has to clear by 23:59 on the day you book, so holding a seat at midnight and paying at a convenience store the next morning does not work; pay by convenience store or online transfer and ANA wants the transaction done by 19:58 the same day. Mileage accrues at 50% of the sector base mileage, and the fare exists on the ANA website alone. Reading fare displays in general is covered in LCC cheap flight booking techniques.

Who it’s forTravellers who can name their October or November dates now. It is wrong for anyone who wants to fly in September, since travel opens on 1 October, and wrong for anyone whose plans might move: the fare cannot be changed, so a new date means a refund and a fresh purchase. Advance seat selection is not offered either — seats come from whatever is left at online check-in 24 hours out, which can split a group — upgrades to a higher class are excluded, the reservation centre and counters will not match the price, and mileage accrues at only 50%, so anyone chasing elite status gets there faster on a dearer fare.
Already booked? Two numbers decide it: the gap, and the refund fee on the ticket you hold. A few thousand yen of difference is usually not worth moving for; JPY 10,000 or more on a return trip usually is. Rebuying means letting go of the seat you have before taking the new one, and sale seats are capped — refund first, find the flight full, and the old seat is gone. If you are flying from October, note that Haneda brought its domestic baggage cut-off forward to 30 minutes before departure on 1 September (Haneda domestic baggage deadline).
Compared with past salesAgainst 24–30 July, all ten routes were identical and none came down. The New Year period sits inside the travel window on paper, but ANA writes that the fare may not be available depending on the period, route and flight, so there is no guarantee for flights in late December and early January — a buying plan of fixing those dates and waiting is not supported by anything the airline has said.
