Fuji Dream Airlines marked seventeen years of flying with the FDA Summer Sale, which ran from 23 July to 7 August 2026. At its centre was the members-only Members Price: up to 80% off the adult standard fare, from JPY 7,000 one way.

That fare opened at 11:00 on 23 July and closed at 23:59 on 29 July — seven days — for travel between 18 August and 24 October.

Fare only. The 80% is measured against FDA’s adult standard fare and applies to the fare line alone; the fuel surcharge and the passenger facility charges levied at some airports are added on top, so the total is settled on the booking screen. Fares as reported route by route on 24 July 2026.

The gap between the cheapest and the dearest is 2.2-fold, from JPY 7,000 on Matsumoto–Kobe and Sapporo (New Chitose)–Yamagata to JPY 15,500 on Matsumoto–Fukuoka and Matsumoto–Sapporo (New Chitose). Nagoya (Komaki) is where the sale went widest, with nine destinations set between JPY 8,000 and JPY 10,000. The 80% headline belongs to the routes at the bottom of that range, not to the network as a whole.

Where you could buy it was narrow. The Members Price is for FDA Members only and appears on the airline’s own website and nowhere else; one booking covers the member and up to five companions. Every route FDA flies was announced as covered, but the release carries its own qualifier — some flights are set with no sale inventory depending on how bookings stand — so a route being named did not mean a given flight had a seat at that price.

The fare was not the whole sale. A time sale on flight-and-hotel packages ran from 23 July to 7 August for departures between 18 August and 23 October, with a lower price set again for anyone aged 29 or under. FDA Members aged 29 or under who bought two or more sectors during the sale, for travel between 18 August and 24 October, could claim an OMIYAGe-gift worth JPY 1,000; entries ran to 7 August, with winners told in mid-August for August departures, late August for September and late September for October. Ahead of all this, from 17 July to 10:59 on 23 July, an online gacha for LINE followers gave free tickets to two pairs.

FDA is headquartered in Shizuoka City and reached seventeen years of operations on 23 July 2026. Its network is built on regional pairs out of Komaki, Shizuoka, Matsumoto and Kobe, and on a good number of those city pairs neither a full-service carrier nor a low-cost airline flies at all. That is what makes a JPY 7,000 seat on Matsumoto–Kobe worth more than the percentage suggests: the alternative is not a cheaper flight but a long day on the ground.
