Since 1 September House of Mon has taken reservations only from hotel guests, subject to space. Other visitors cannot book and are seated in order of arrival. Children under 10 are not admitted and guests under 20 stay until 20:00. On Saturday 31 October it is hired out, so the hours change to 21:00–24:00. SUNDROP has live music in the evening, in October three 30-minute sets starting at 18:30, 19:30 and 20:30.

Until Saturday 31 October, Soryu and Soen also pour a flight of three 30 ml sakes from the Kunpeki brewery in Konan, Aichi. The set called “Kunpeki Story by Sake Rice” is JPY 5,000 and the “Kunpeki Three Selections” JPY 7,000, tax and service charge included.

Afternoon tea is The First Bloom until 1 November, then a Harry Winston holiday edition from 2 November

Afternoon tea at SUNDROP runs 12:00 to 17:30 (last entry 15:30) and is by reservation, taken until 9:00 on the day. From 1 August to 1 November it is The First Bloom, JPY 8,000 a head, or JPY 11,000 with a sparkling toast, tax and service charge included. It comes with six sweets, five savouries, scones and unlimited tea.

From 2 November to 27 December it becomes the HARRY WINSTON’s Holiday Afternoon Tea, made with the jeweller Harry Winston: JPY 9,000, or JPY 12,000 with the toast, and guests during the period receive an original Harry Winston gift while stocks last. Cancelling the toast version after 20:00 the day before is charged at 100% to the card given at booking. Evening tea, 18:00 to 20:30, is a single seating for ten.

Directly under Sakae station, with 40 parking spaces and no airport shuttle

The hotel connects directly to Sakae station on the Higashiyama and Meijo subway lines. The Sakae shopping area and the city centre are 0.10 km away, the Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER 0.50 km, and the Aichi Arts Center, Nagoya Castle and Osu Kannon 2 km each. Chubu Centrair airport is 46 km off and there is no airport shuttle.

Parking is in the building, 40 spaces under cover, JPY 4,500 a day self-park or JPY 6,000 with valet, with EV charging. The mechanical car park gives priority to guests and takes vehicles up to 5,300 mm long, 2,050 mm wide, 2,000 mm high and 2,500 kg; larger cars have to use a car park nearby. Check-in is 15:00 and check-out 12:00.

The wellness floor on 32 has a 16-metre indoor pool (6:30–21:30, and 9:00–18:00 for ages 4 to 15), a dry sauna for men and a mist sauna for women, a gym open around the clock, and a spa with four treatment rooms, 10:00–21:00. Guests in Executive Rooms and above can use the Executive Lounge, open 10:00 to 21:00: breakfast 7:00–10:30, afternoon tea 14:30–16:30, evening cocktails 17:30–20:50, with light food and drinks all day.

For floor-area buyersAll 14 types are 50 square metres or more, and even the cheapest Deluxe Room has a separate bathtub, a rain shower and a walk-in wardrobe. It is the wrong booking for someone taking a Deluxe Room to use the lounge: that needs an Executive Room or above, JPY 97,506 on Tuesday 20 October, JPY 23,216 more than the Deluxe Room.
Pick dinner by weekdayOn Friday, Saturday and Sunday all three venues on the 40th floor are open. On Monday and Tuesday only the sushi and teppan rooms are, and on Wednesday and Thursday only the rooftop bar, which takes reservations from hotel guests alone; everyone else queues.
Saturday costs 30–40% moreThe Deluxe Room is JPY 74,290 on a Tuesday against JPY 98,021 on Saturday 14 November and JPY 103,788 on 17 October, 1.3 to 1.4 times as much. The Executive Room goes from JPY 97,506 to JPY 121,361, about 1.2 times.
